Winners of the Rwanga Book Project 2024 Announced

Erbil, KRI (September 18, 2024) – The Rwanga Foundation proudly announced the winners of the Rwanga Book Project 2024, where three outstanding books were selected by a jury from 55 submissions. This year’s competition focused on technology-related topics, with one of the winning books written in Kurdish and two in Arabic.

A total of 55 participants submitted their works for the competition (30 in Kurdish and 25 in Arabic), and the jury selected the top three books. Each winning book will be designed, printed, and published in full color, with 500 copies per title (1,500 copies in total).

The winning titles for the Rwanga Book Project 2024 are:

  • Electronic Games and Their Dimensions by Ali Ahmed
  • Social Media: A Path to a Profitable Curriculum by Hussein Naima
  • Traditional Begging vs. Electronic Begging by Shaker Abd Al-Musa

The Rwanga Book Project is an annual competition that encourages writers from across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to submit books on a chosen theme. The project aims to promote the culture of reading and writing by providing a platform for both established and aspiring authors. Through this initiative, the best-written books are selected, published, and distributed by the Rwanga Foundation.

This year’s competition focused on fostering creativity around technology-related subjects, helping writers engage with modern topics while providing them the opportunity to have their works published and distributed across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
