In the presence of a representative of H.E. Nechirvan Barzani’s Office, the Minister of Education, the Supervisor of the Raparin Independent Administration, government and party officials, Rwanga Foundation held an official ceremony to inaugurate and hand over Rwanga Basic School in Ranya.
The school was fully funded by His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani and constructed by Rwanga Foundation at a total cost of IQD 1,741,275,300. Completed in 547 days on a 7,000 m² site, the modern educational facility comprises 18 classrooms; three laboratories dedicated to chemistry, physics, and biology; a modern library; a multipurpose hall for events and activities; teachers’ and administrative offices; a medical room; and a cafeteria. The school also features a sports pitch and extensive green spaces, providing a well-equipped environment for learning, recreation, and extracurricular activities.
Notably, the school runs on clean solar energy, includes comprehensive safety measures, and has a rainwater harvesting system, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
