Rwanga Foundation participated as a key partner in the 5th NORAQ Project Partners Meeting, held at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Vienna, Austria.
The primary goal of the NORAQ project is to deliver economic, legal, and psychological assistance to returnees in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to ensure their sustainable reintegration within their communities, while also enhancing the capabilities of local institutions to manage migration issues effectively and increase awareness of the risks associated with irregular migration.
The meeting brought together international representatives from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, ICMPD, and key project partners to review progress and outline future strategies for NORAQ-supported initiatives in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as to coordinate efforts with the Government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
During the meeting, Rwanga Foundation presented the latest updates on the implementation of awareness campaigns, reintegration support, community engagement, and the promotion of social cohesion.
