
On 3rd December 2015, The Talari Hunar in Sulaimani city played host to the Rwanga Awards 2015. Young people, artists, writers, journalist, diplomats, winners and their families attended the ceremony. In front of a large body of attendants, the winners of the competition were announced and prizes were awarded by the various high profile people from throughout the region . A total of 7 young people were awarded prizes in Photography, Recycling Arts, Short Film, Solo Musician, Short Story writing, Entrepreneurship and Scientific Invention. For the occasion of the Special Needs International Day Rwanga also awarded two young boys in their successful roles in the film called (Clasico).
The awards ceremony commenced with a group from Sulaimani playing the traditional instrument (Daff), followed by a speech from (Dr Haval Abubaker ) the president of Sulaiani Governorate committee and in his speech mentioned that how important that projects to discover the talented youth in Kurdistanthen. Additionall, the young spry artist, Karzan Omer painted a picture in less than 5 minutes procuring amazement from the attendees. The singer from Duhok city Haval Ibrahim the Kurdish famous singer, performed traditional Kurdish songs and the ceremony ended with a performance by (The First Crew Dance) Ballet dance based in Erbil.
