
DUHOK, Kurdistan — On May 5, 2015, Rwanga Foundation and 20 other NGOs, organizations and companies participated in the Duhok Job Fair which was sponsored by the University of Duhok.
Rwanga Foundation will arrange various free training sessions focusing on capacity building, marketing, CV writing, interview skills and entrepreneurship. Rwanga believes strongly that preparing youth in Kurdistan for the private sector is of utmost importance as the public sector has grown to be overloaded with employment.
Furthermore, Chief Executive Director of Rwanga Foundation, Abdulsalam Medeni, spoke before an audience during the fair to encourage youth to enter the private sector and non-governmental side of the economy.
According to the Ministry of Planning over half of the workforce population is employed by the government, while 50% of the total population is aged 0-21 years.
Rwanga Foundation plans to open an office in Duhok which will draw on local talent and skills to operate and function as a branch office to Rwanga’s headquarters in Erbil.
