Erbil, KRI (September 6, 2024) – HITEX 2024, inaugurated by the Prime Minister, H.E. Masrour Barzani, concluded its showcase at the renowned Erbil International Fairground. As the premier technology exhibition in Iraq, this remarkable event provided a platform for enterprises to broaden their prospects, exhibiting the most recent advancements, services, and state-of-the-art technological breakthroughs from across the globe.

The HITEX exhibition boasted participation from hundreds of local and international technology companies, each showcasing their latest breakthroughs. HITEX offered a unique platform for exhibitors to forge local and international business deals and partnerships, as well as access government tenders. During the event, exhibitors engaged with potential clients, fostering direct links between managers and customers.

Beyond the impressive showcase of innovations, HITEX presented multiple panels, delivering new information and unveiling technological advancements in Iraq and worldwide. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Rwanga Foundation, HITEX extended support to business startups through the HITEX Future Stars initiative. This project by the Rwanga Foundation provided financial backing to startups across Iraq, empowering them to flourish and make a lasting impact.

The Rwanga Foundation recognized the important role technology plays in shaping the future of societies. The Foundation's wide-ranging efforts spanned diverse sectors such as education, youth empowerment, environment, and support for vulnerable groups. By seamlessly integrating technology into its initiatives, the Rwanga Foundation aimed to make transformative change and unlock boundless opportunities for the communities they serve.

In addition to having a booth where visitors could engage in meaningful conversations and have their queries addressed, the Foundation captivated attendees with an array of activities. Noteworthy highlights included support provided to 8 business startups through the HITEX Future Stars initiative. These carefully selected businesses, having previously registered on the Foundation's platforms, eagerly anticipated the announcement of winners on the fourth day of the exhibition. Each winning startup received dedicated funds to propel the growth of their ventures, generously provided by Ideas Beyond Borders.

Moreover, the addition of the Asera Chai Podcast to this year's HITEX exhibition further enriched the event. The podcast featured prominent and innovative youth from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), who took center stage at the Rwanga booth throughout the four-day exhibition. These inspirational speakers discussed the importance of technology in the lives of today's youth and how it could be harnessed to enhance their daily lives, studies, and professional endeavors.

The exhibition continued until Friday, September 6, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., captivating visitors at the Erbil International Fairground. Over 121 companies from different countries showcased their products, services, and activities, while also fostering connections between information technology experts and traders from across the globe. Spanning various fields such as Futuristic Technology, Telecom, Artificial Intelligence, Consumer Technology, and Networks, the participating companies offered a comprehensive overview of the latest industry developments.
