After 11 years, Salahaddin Radio Station was renovated by Rwanga Foundation

On February 13, 2023, and on the occasion of World Radio Day, Rwanga Foundation re-established a radio station for the College of Arts - University of Salahaddin in Erbil. The Radio station has been inactive for 11 years. The re-establishment was made based on the request of the university, and the station was opened in a special ceremony on the World Radio Day. The establishment included providing laptops, sound mixers, sound cards, headphones, Mic, Mic stands, speakers, Mic filters, cables, studio covers, parquet, tables, software, and other requirements to the station.


The ceremony was attended by prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdul Razaq - Deputy Minister of Higher Education, prof. dr. Kamiran Younis (President of Salahaddin University), and many other high-ranking government officials attended the ceremony.


The ceremony began with a tour of the radio station, followed by a live broadcast of a program featuring Abdulsalam Medeni (Chief Executive Director of Rwanga Foundation) and prof. dr. Kamiran Younis (President of Salahaddin University) discussing the importance of the Rwanga Foundation renovation project and the services this radio station will provide to the university. The ceremony was then followed by the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the volunteers who helped with the radio's establishment.
