An Online Graduation Ceremony was Held for 'WeCode' Project Participants

Erbil, KRI (September 27,2022) _ Rwanga Foundation held an online graduation ceremony for the participants of the second Bootcamps that were conducted remotely all over KRI for 90 youths aged )18-35( as part of the WeCode project. Certificates of completion were presented to the project's participants during the ceremony.


The goal of this training bootcamp was to assist young people in developing their technical coding skills alongside their soft skills to prepare them for a career in software development in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.The ceremony was attended by Tech company representatives online with the aim of creating a linking bridge between them and the participants.


Following that, the participants who have successfully completed the WeCode Bootcamp earned a certificate of completion. A total of 90 graduates (70 male and 20 female) from Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok, and Halabja governorates, have received an intensive training about (Mobile Application Development, and Front-End Design and Development).



The Mobile Application and Front-End design & Development bootcamps consisted of:

  • 39 Technical Sessions (3 hours each)
  • 13 weeks of intensive learning (117 hours)
  • 2 Career Development Sessions (4 hours)
  • 1 Guest Lecturer (2 hours)
  • Total: 117 Training hours + 78 Office Hours Support
  • Developed and submitted a Final Project


It's worth mentioning that some of these young people have already obtained valuable expertise in the sector, allowing them to find jobs and are currently employed.

WeCode is an intensive training Bootcamp project implemented by Rwanga Foundation to remotely train youth aged between (18-35) in KRI with software development skills and provide adequate technical and soft skills so that they qualify to land their first job as junior software developers.
