Erbil, KRI (February 28, 2022) – The University of Kurdistan – Hewler in partnership with Rwanga Foundation organized the ‘UKH Youth Empowerment’, which is an exhibition to support the current students and alumni who have successfully launched their businesses.

The event took place on the university's campus. The aim of this event was to enhance the participating businesses and improve their networking experience. Additionally, the event created invaluable opportunities for the students and guests to sharpen their business acumen and hear from notable UKH Entrepreneurs as they share their business insights, life lessons, as well as the inspirations they gained during their enrolment at UKH.

26 student-owned and 17 alumni-owned businesses participated in the event, each with their own booth to showcase their products and services. The exhibition featured enterprises working in diverse fields including Digital marketing & production, audio production, fine Kurdish rice, real estate app, handmade woodworks & textile, recycled paper-based jewelry, among others.

Rwanga Foundation also had a stand there to promote its 'Invest My Idea' project., which is a crowdfunding opportunity for small businesses and start-ups. It matches up business projects in need of funding with investors through an online platform. It connects start-up owners, mentors, investors, and organizations working in the entrepreneurial landscape (in an online platform) to perform crowdfunding.

This event was organized by UKH in partnership with Rwanga Foundation and was sponsored by Four Bridges Company in Erbil. Rudaw Media Network was the exclusive media sponsor of this event.
