Stand-up Comedy is a specific and effective way to address and criticise social, cultural, and political issues. In Kurdistan Region, there are many young comedians who publish comedy and vine videos on social media channels (including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) pointing out many social and cultural problems in their society.

However, chances to show their comic talents on the stage are very limited. Rwanga Foundation will therefore provide an opportunity to the youth to participate in a competition through sending short videos of their stand-up comedy performance. Those who will reach the final stage will perform live on stage, and Rwanga Foundation will award them.

Who Can Apply?

Applicant should be between 18 to 35 years old.

Applicant should submit a video between 5 - 7 minutes length.

The video should not be published before.

The video should be in the stand-up comedy style.

The video should be in Kurdish language.

Subject(s) of the video should not conflict with religion and politics. 

How to Apply?

The video should not excide 1 GB.

Please video should be uploaded via the APPLICATION FORM   of the project.

The deadline for submission is May 1, 2019.
