In line with its dedication to advancing education, the Rwanga Foundation has renovated Shaheed Idris Barzani High School in the Zakho Independent Administration. Established in 2011, the school encompasses both Shaheed Idris Barzani High School for Girls and Loshan Preparatory School. The school consists of 30 classrooms and is the largest educational institute in the Zakho Independent Administration, serving 2,322 students.
The renovation process included repairing and upgrading all facilities that directly affect the quality of students’ education and well-being — such as repainting the school, repairing and upgrading the water supply, sewage system, and sanitation facilities, as well as improving students’ access routes. At the same time, the project upgraded the electricity network, classroom lighting, and the school’s main corridor, which had been damaged.
