1. Implementation Progress:

As to the first phase of the project, 2940 hygiene packages and sanitary napkins have been distributed to 2940 families in Kawargosk and Bahirka camps Syrian Refugee Camps in close coordination with all the stakeholders including the refugee representatives, the related local government authorities, and Barzani Charity Foundation.  Alongside the distribution, the section has also raised awareness about the importance of hygiene to health.

 

Data and numbers:

2940 Hygienic kits were distributed to 2940 families (2300 families, 12420 individuals) in Kawargosk camp and (640 families, 2747 individuals) in Bahirka camp.

Each hygienic kit contains: (6 soap bars, 1 bottle of shampoo, 1 bottle of baby shampoo, 1 bottle of Dettol, 1 tube toothpaste, 6 toothbrush, 1 tube sun-block, 6 piece dust mask, 1 package of razor, 2 adhesive bandage, 1 cotton package, 1 box ear cleaner, 1 pack of wet tissues, 4 package of female sanitary napkins).

560 packages remained from the total of 3500 packages.
