Business Registration and Regulation in KRI

The Business Registration and Regulation in KRI is a project designed to make improvements in the Business and Startup sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This project was a follow-up to a request by the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Regional Government to advise and design a concrete roadmap towards improved methods and policies that fit the modern world of doing business.

the project is designed to make changes of improvement in the Business and Startup sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The reason for designing a project for this topic is because of the little change there had been in regards to the procedures and implementation of business startups in an efficient and systematic way.

The project is funded by the government of Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by Five One Labs in collaboration with Rwanga Foundation.

  The project is designed and divided into three phases;

- Phase One: Establishment of three Focus Groups for each of the three sub-topics (Business Registration ,E-Commerce Businesses, Female Entrepreneurship).

- Phase Two: Panel Discussion on E-Commerce in the Kurdistan Region.

- Phase Three: the writing of a Draft Policy Paper consisting of all collective recommendations for law amendment/replacement or addition for the improvement of the Business Startup sector
