Update and Adapt Youth Rights at Work Guide and Toolkit for Iraq

Rwanga Foundation and International Labour organization (ILO) launched a project that aims at empowering youth in Ninewa and Dohuk Governorates, who are hosting refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). Through an extensive survey conducted directly with youth in these regions, coupled with a comprehensive review of Iraqi national legislation and policies concerning labor laws and rights, we are updating the 2015 Rights@Work for Youth Guide and Toolkit. Our team has engaged in active communication and consultation with both local stakeholders and our global network to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of this resource. The updated guide and toolkit, along with tailored Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions, will soon be released, marking a significant step towards promoting labor rights and opportunities for youth in these communities.

Duration of the project:

Start: Dec - 2022

End: Apr – 2024
