One day with Baghdad's Orphans

Baghdad, IRAQ (July 4, 2021) - Rwanga Foundation and Burger King restaurant jointly celebrated 100 orphans during the opening ceremony of the new restaurant branch in Baghdad.


The main aim behind the ceremony was to provide care and encouragement to the orphans and involve them in some activities in order to give them the feeling that they are an important part of society, to let them spend a few happy hours and give them the chance to engage with the community.

The ceremony was jointly by Rwanga Foundation and Burger King in the Dream City Mall in Baghdad on the occasion of the opening of the 7th restaurant branch in the city, one hundred orphans between the age of 6-12 from both genders were the guests of honor for this event


The ceremony started with cutting the ribbon by a beautiful princess from the orphans, then continued with distributing meals by Burger King to the children and a face painting event. The children concluded the ceremony with spending some fun time together at the games zone.


It is worth mentioning that this project is the third joint project between Rwanga Foundation and Burger King in 2021 to provide support for the vulnerable groups, a project was implemented earlier to buy eid clothes and necessities under the title "Children's Joy" for the children at the orphanages in Erbil, Sulaimani, and Duhok. Moreover, four computers were provided for 'Nankali Hospital for blood and cancer diseases' through another project.
