Grammy award-winning American rapper Nelly announced to perform at charity concert in Kurdistan
Rwanga Foundation is pleased to reveal that the Grammy award-winning American rapper Nelly is confirmed to play during the annual Xoli Raperin football tournament on the 13th March 2015 in Erbil, Kurdistan.
The performance will make history as Nelly will be the first American artist to perform in the city’s 8,000 year old history. In addition the concert will also see a motocross show from international star André Villa, plus a performance from Arab Idol’s Ammar Koofy.
The concert aims to celebrate the people of the city, promote peace and bring hope to those who need it most. Proceeds from ticket sales will to go help to those impacted by the recent conflict in the area.
Rwanga Foundation’s Director or PR & Media, Taban Shoresh said: ‘We are pleased to finally reveal that America’s Grammy award-winning artist Nelly will be performing during the annual Xoli Raperin football tournament tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming him to the city’.
Rwanga Foundation has played an active role in helping those most vulnerable during the humanitarian crises; one of the latest projects has been, Rwanga Community, which consists of 3000 residential units to shelter 24,000 displaced people.
