Peshmerga and Security Forces’ Martyrs Endowment Project

Erbil, Kurdistan- October 26th 2016: As a part of its mission, Rwanga Foundation with the financial support of Marathon Oil KDV B.V. contributed its support and appreciation to the Martyrs’ families as a tribute to those brave fighters who fought against the so called the Islamic State (IS) the terrorist organization.  Each Martyr’s family will be receiving US$ 850 on or about October 26, 2016 in the first phase of this project, and in the next phase, Rwanga Foundation teams will be heading towards the cities and villages within Kurdistan Region to reach most of the families of martyrs in order to provide this cash payment assistance.

Rwanga Foundation considers the support it provides to the Martyrs’ families as its focal responsibility. Hence, Rwanga Foundation in 2015 prepared its groundwork to reach its partners and generous donors in order to help the families of martyrs and have achieved this by helping approximately 1,000 martyr’s families until today.

Marathon Oil KDV B.V. is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO) which company group is an international independent energy production company. Based in Houston, Texas USA, the company currently operates in North America, Europe and Africa.

Rwanga Foundation is a Kurdistan headquartered International Foundation that officially launched its activities as of September 2013.
